Butte firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out early Friday morning in a horse stall and a detached shed that contained a camp trailer at 6000 Harrison Avenue, according to Jeff Miller, chief of the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department.
No one was injured.
Miller said a call about the blaze came in at 3:48 a.m.
In addition to two county fire trucks, volunteer firefighters from the Home Atherton, Terra Verde and Boulevard volunteer fire departments responded to the scene, bringing water with them. "There was no water supply close by, so they had to shuttle water with tenders," Miller said.
When they arrived, firefighters found the trailer, the shed and the stall all engulfed in flames and were concerned the fire might spread to a nearby metal structure and horse corral.
