The cause of a large overnight house fire in south Charlotte remains under investigation Friday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
The fire happened around 12:53 a.m. Friday, July 6 at a two-story home located along the 12300 block of Homestead Place. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy fire coming from the roof.
It took 23 firefighters about 25 minutes to get the fire under control. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The family and dogs living at the home were all accounted for, fire officials said.
