A construction project that broke ground a little over a year ago celebrated its completion last week as county officials cut a ceremonial ribbon on April 11 to dedicate the Warren County Emergency Services building on Highway 158 bypass near the county recreation complex. Tare “T” Davis, chairman of the Warren County Board of Commissioners, described the project as a team effort that involved county government representatives, emergency response agencies and citizens—specifically Mike Hairston and Jimmy Harris. Hairston and Harris were two members of a committee, which included county representatives and leaders in the emergency response community, charged with reducing the scale and cost of the proposed building after county commissioners rejected building plans presented by the firm hired to handle the project.
