A Nebo man has been charged with second-degree arson after authorities say he set his house on fire.
Shortly before 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, McDowell County Sheriff’s deputies and fire investigators responded to East Hunt Drive in reference to a house fire.
Following an investigation, Kasey Lee Scott, 31 was charged with second-degree arson. Deputies say Scott was living in the home but did not own the home.
Scott's next court date is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2019.
The Sheriff’s Office, McDowell County Emergency Management and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation led to Kasey Scott’s arrest.
