A man was found dead Monday night when fire swept through his Craven County mobile home. The call came in shortly after 7p.m. for a fire on Plum Street, just outside of New Bern. Maj. David McFadyen with the Craven County Sheriffs Office says the man has been identified but a name cannot be released pending family I-D. The fire damage was contained to the front living room and front bedroom. Officials say no foul play is suspected, but the SBI and the Craven County Fire Marshal Office are continuing to investigate.
