Officials say a family has been displaced following a Sunday evening house fire. Morehead City firefighters responded to a fire about 5:15 p.m. Sunday at 401 Macon Court. No injuries were reported. Capt. Brian Pasko with the Morehead City Fire Department said it took about 10 minutes to extinguish the fire, which was contained to the interior of the unit. The family was displaced, and Capt. Pasko said the management of Macon Court was working with the family to find them a place to stay. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
