A man was arrested in connection to an arson at an apartment complex in Salisbury Friday afternoon. Salisbury Police charged 23-year-old Marvin Denzel Pruitt with one count of first-degree arson. Pruitt was arrested at his home without incident and is being held on a 48-hour domestic hold. Thus, no bond was set at this time. At least one apartment in the Regency Court apartment complex in Salisbury was heavily damaged in the fire. When firefighters arrived, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the second floor window of apartment 14. A column of smoke was visible for miles.
