Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Germantown Road in Moravian Falls Monday morning and found two people burned, said Wilkes Fire Marshal Niki Hamby.
Hamby said firefighters found the two people outside the modular home where the fire occurred. He said they are believed to be related.
One of the two, a man, was burned more severely and was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Hamby didn't have any details to share on the cause of the fire late this morning.
Trever Hamby, captain of the Moravian Falls Fire Department, said firefighters quickly contained the blaze and limited damage from flames to the living room, but added that there was smoke and water damage elsewhere.
The Boomer, Goshen and Broadway fire departments assisted Moravian Falls. Wilkes Emergency Medical Services also responded.
