Deputies say a man was arrested after setting a mobile home on fire in Burke County on Tuesday, May 11th.
Detectives say 37-year-old Ryan Shambre is charged with felony first degree arson, two counts of assault on a government official, and resisting a public officer for his involvement in this case.
Officers say they responded to the structure fire on May 11th on Putnam Street in Morganton, N.C., after a caller claimed a man had set the home on fire with a woman inside.
Officers say the suspect, Ryan Shambre, fled on foot through the woods after allegedly setting the fire.
Detectives say Shambre was arrested following a foot chase with officers and resisting arrest.
Police say Shambre already has 21 pending charges in three counties, including failing to appear in court in Iredell County.
Detectives say Shambre was booked into the Burke County Jail on Wednesday, and placed under a total bond of $92,000.
