Restaurant in Raleigh's Mission Valley evacuated due to grease fire

A Raleigh restaurant was evacuated Thursday night after a grease fire started in the kitchen. The fire was reported Thursday evening at Sammy's Tap and Grill, located at 2235 Avent Ferry Road in the Mission Valley shopping center. Raleigh firefighters confirmed there was no damage to the building, but there was a lot of smoke. Patrons gathered outside while the fire department investigated and ventilated the restaurant. No one was injured.
