The Hendersonville Fire Department is welcoming Deputy Chief of Operations Daniel Chavous to the organization and the City of Hendersonville. He joins Fire Chief D. James Miller, Deputy Chief of Administration Justin Ward, and Fire Marshal Ted Williams in leading the department. “We are thrilled to bring Deputy Chief Chavous on board to lead the operational activities of our growing department,” said Hendersonville Fire Chief D. James Miller. “As a third-generation firefighter, service to the community runs deep with him and we know he’ll make a great impact in our organization and City.” Before his employment with Hendersonville, Deputy Chief Chavous served as Battalion Chief for the Charleston Fire Department in South Carolina. In Charleston, he worked his way through the ranks serving as Firefighter, Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief.
