Greensboro firefighters were working to get the upper-hand on a structure fire Tuesday morning. It's been confirmed the building belongs to Smith Trucking Company.
Calls for help were made around 4 a.m. Firefighters say a passerby notified crews of the fire. The first responding unit immediately called for a second alarm. A third alarm was called for staffing purposes and the need for more manpower to fight the fire.
First responders said no injuries were reported, but they would be at the scene on the 2800 block of Oakland Avenue, near South Holden Road, for a while. Firefighters say there were challenges during the fire fight including low water pressure in the area. Crews had to connect to various hydrants. Several roads in the area were closed, but have since reopened.
