VIDEO: A child was injured and four people have been displaced following a house fire that broke out in Fayetteville early Thursday morning. The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 7200 block of Ainsley Street just after 1:37 a.m. The first units to arrive found a single-family home with light smoke coming from the remnants of a cooking fire. According to the fire department, the blaze was partially put out by the residents of the home before crews arrived. Firefighters extinguished what was left and made sure the fire hadn’t spread to other areas. The incident was investigated by a Fayetteville Fire Department company officer and was determined to be the “result of unattended/improper cooking and was accidental in nature.”
