Emergency crews responded to a structure fire off of Green Hill Road in Winnabow on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Crews with the Winnabow Fire Department arrived and saw heavy fire coming out of the roof. Firefighters were able to occupy the inside the house to extinguish most of the fire.
The structure continued to deteriorate during suppression efforts and crews continued putting out the fire outside.
Leland Fire/Rescue, Bolivia Fire Department, Navassa Fire, N.W. Fire, Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue, New Hanover Fire Co, Sunny Point Fire, Southport Fire Department, Brunswick County EMS, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Brunswick Co 911, and Brunswick Co Fire Marshal’s Office all assisted in the incident.
