As more businesses come to Greensboro, inspections of all kinds are becoming more common.
The city’s fire department is the one that oversees those inspections.
Just recently, the city of Greensboro approved the purchase of a building on Pomona Drive where the fire department hopes to use it to expand.
It took about a year to find the right building since the fire department didn’t want to start a new construction from scratch.
They were looking for a building with enough space to handle any challenges as the city continues to grow. “We’ve realized with the city’s growth, the economic development, that this unit’s had to expand with it,” Fire Marshal for Fire and Life Safety Division Timothy Henshaw said.
