VIDEO: Firefighters extinguished a house fire on South Topsail Drive in Surf City that was called in at around 8:31 p.m. Wednesday, June 5. According to a release from the town, multiple vehicles were also involved in the fire, and a number of explosions occurred. “Surf City crews, along with assistance from Topsail Beach Fire Department, Pender EMS and Fire and North Topsail Beach Fire Department, quickly deployed hand lines to extinguish the fire and protect adjacent structures from the spreading flames.
