VIDEO/PHOTOS: An investigation is underway after a vehicle slammed through a wall and dangled from an uptown Charlotte parking deck Thursday morning.
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, in the area of N Church and W 6th Street. As emergency crews responded to the scene, they observed a vehicle dangling from the 6th floor of a parking deck. Charlotte firefighters facilitated a plan to get the vehicle stabilized. Charlotte Fire said the vehicle was unoccupied. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police reports that the driver left the vehicle in neutral and it rolled, crashing through the barrier.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area Thursday morning and to expect significant delays due to the incident. Medic said no injuries have been reported.
