An investigation is underway to determine what caused a Lenoir County home to go up in flames Monday afternoon. Shortly after 3:00 p.m., Lenoir County crews responded to a double-wide mobile home on fire on Tony’s Lane in Seven Springs. Firefighters from Deep Run, Sandy Bottom and Albertson fire departments responded and found heavy smoke and flames visible. No one was at home when the fire started and no injuries were reported, but there was extensive damage. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within an hour. The Lenoir County Fire Marshal’s office is working to determine how the fire started.
