Around 3:50 Tuesday afternoon, the Burlington Fire Department was called to a home fire at 612 Maple Avenue.
After arriving on scene, firefighters say they observed light smoke at the front door.
A person was also reportedly trapped upstairs, this victim was recovered by responders. Firefighters had the flames managed in less than five minutes.
Remaining damage to the home was listed as minimal. Prior to first responders' arrival, another person inside the home tried to combat the fire with water, slowing its growth.
Due to alleged suspicious reasoning for this fire's cause, Burlington Police is also investigating.
