PHOTOS: A two-story cabin was fully enveloped in flames early Monday morning, according to the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department (MPFD). Firefighters say they were called to an “outbuilding fire” around 3:30 a.m. on March 25 off Mt. Pleasant Road West and near Mt. Pleasant. Crews arrived to find a fully involved fire at a cabin behind a house. MPFD Engine 19 laid out a water line from the driveway and Concord Fire Department Engine 4 pumped water from Mt. Pleasant Road West. According to officials, crews were able to control the fire after the water supply was set up. The cause of the fire has not been released; however, the Cabarrus County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.
