VIDEO: The Town of Burgaw has announced that Johnathan Prevatte is the new fire chief of the Burgaw Fire Department effective May 13.
“With a background spanning both volunteer and paid fire service roles, Prevatte has demonstrated exemplary leadership and expertise in various emergency response environments and brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to community service,” a town announcement states.
Before his appointment to Burgaw, he worked as a captain with Jacksonville Fire and Emergency Services and he has served as a fire/rescue emergency responder in Onslow County Emergency Services.
“We are confident that Johnathan’s extensive experience, coupled with his leadership and vision, will be pivotal as the Burgaw Fire Department continues to serve and protect our community effectively,” said James Gantt, Burgaw’s town manager.
