It would be a scene out of a nightmare for many, a school bus on its side, students trapped and injured inside, cars smashed to bits as the result of a crash and on fire.
At least it would be if this was a real life scenario, but on Thursday, March 21 at the Lexington Service Building lot, it was the scene of a multi-agency mass casualty training. The exercise designed to help each agency familiarize themselves with working on a scenes like this, allow newer members to learn the proper techniques and time to learn how each agency performs.
The Lexington Volunteer Fire Department, Cozad Fire and Rescue, Overton Fire Department, Elm Creek Fire Department, Priority Medical Transport, Lexington Regional Health Center and Lexington Public Schools all participated in the training.
