On Wednesday, officials confirmed people from Wuhan, China, will arrive at Eppley Airfield Thursday.
"We expect confirmed infections among these and other returning travelers from the Hubei province," said Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
"We can now confirm that rescued Americans will be coming to Nebraska for quarantine at Camp Ashland, a Nebraska National Guard facility near Ashland, Nebraska, outside Omaha. These passengers will arrive at Eppley Airfield in a remote and isolated aircraft parking area and will NOT be inside the Eppley Airfield terminal. The arrival of the flight will have no impact on Omaha passengers, and flight operations at Eppley Airfield will remain normal and unaffected," Nebraska Medicine wrote in a press release.
