Flames caused significant damage to a Bellevue home late Wednesday night. Fire investigators said the fire started in the soffits at the back of the house and spread into the home and the roof. It was first reported shortly after 10 p.m. near 28th and Josephine streets. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control. The American Red Cross helped the people living there find a place to stay for the night because the house was deemed unlivable.
