Bellevue firefighters responded to an overnight house fire near Ivy Court and Ridgewood Drive at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Three people inside the house got out OK; no one was injured. Officials said it took crews about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Bellevue Fire spokesperson Jack Syphers said the homeowner called first responders to report the fire. Crews later learned the homeowner's husband tried putting the blaze out with a fire extinguisher. "We believe it started in the chimney chase and went up into the attic and out through the back," Syphers said.
