Columbus Police Officer Jaymee Levander and the Columbus Fire Department's Nate Jones earned nice honors for their efforts.
American Legion Hartman Post #84 recently held its annual birthday party to celebrate the 101st birthday of the founding of the National American Legion. The festivities were held at the local American Legion building in Columbus. Hartman Post #84 recognizes a law enforcement officer and firefighter/EMT each year to show its support for the law enforcement and firefighters that serve the community.
Over his 11-year career as a full-time firefighter with the Columbus Fire Department, and especially the past two years, Lt. Jones has stepped up to improve his own knowledge, skills, and abilities, and has unselfishly shared that information with his peers and new firefighters.
