Falls City firefighters responded to a house fire at 807 Ben Boulevard around 2 a.m. Sunday. The fire was dispatched with information that all occupants of the home owned by Lukas and Megan Goff were evacuating. Firefighters arrived to see flames shooting up 50 feet from the south end of the home, where there was an attached garage. Firefighters cut and pulled down a metal garage door to provide access and eventually pulled down the west wall as a safety measure as the trusses had been burned away and the metal ceiling had dropped. No injuries were reported. Falls City Fire, Rural Fire and ambulance responded and firefighters were on the scene until 8 a.m. There was a rekindle at 9:45 a.m. The fire department reports significant fire, smoke and water damage.
