Firefighters say a home is uninhabitable after a fire near Adams Center Tuesday night.
Crews were called just before 11 p.m. for a gazebo fire on County Route 76.
When firefighters arrived, the gazebo, which was about 20 feet from the home, was already destroyed and flames were over the roof on the back side of the house.
Firefighters at the scene say it took about 30 minutes to put the blaze out. There's no word on the cause.
"Even though the roof is still standing, the house in unlivable," Adams Fire Chief Mark Thomas said. "We have to talk to the homeowner and find out what was happening prior to us being called, but no signs of suspicion."
