Fire crews battled intense flames at a home on Athens Street in Rochester. Fire officials say two people who live in the house put out a small fire on the second-floor porch that was started by a generator around 3 a.m. Thursday. They left the house for about an hour. The second floor and attic were on fire when they returned, according to fire officials. The residents were able to rescue their dog before fire crews arrived. No one was injured. Fire officials say the home is a total loss
