Fire crews in Ravena spent Monday morning putting out a fire at Oakbrook Manor Apartments. Crews arrived at Building 22 around 2:30 a.m. Several neighboring departments responded to the scene to help put out the fire. "Everyone did make it out okay," said Ravena Fire Department Deputy Chief Kevin Phillips. "All pets were accounted for as well. We had to rescue, I believe, three or four cats." Phillips said the building has eight apartments. Seven were occupied when the fire happened. The roof collapsed, the second floor apartments are destroyed, and there is water damage to the first floor apartments. "They might be able to salvage some things, but I assumed it's going to be deemed a total loss," said Phillips. The fire was difficult to battle.
