Several crews battled a fire early Friday that gutted the second-floor office area of a tire shop in Oneonta and damaged a portion of the first floor.
Crews responded to Monser Brothers Tire & Auto Repair on Chestnut Street, in Oneonta, shortly after midnight.
The Oneonta City Fire Department responded with two engines and an aerial apparatus.
Investigators from the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control will assist Oneonta in the investigation of the cause of the blaze later today.
There were no injuries during the incident.
Mutual aid was received from West Oneonta, Otego, Laurens, West Laurens, Mount Vision, Pindars Corners and Milford Fire Departments and F.A.S.T. teams from Worcester and Franklin.
EMS coverage was provided by Otsego County’s new ambulance service.
