A garage burned to the ground on Carmichael Hill Road Monday night. Western Fire Department officials said they were dispatched to a fully involved garage fire shortly after 9 p.m. Monday. Officials said the garage collapsed when crews arrived on the scene, and the volunteers worked to keep the heat and flames from spreading to other nearby buildings. One building sustained some minor fire and water damage, and another building sustained some heat damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials said. No one was injured in the fire nor during the firefight. Crews were back in service by 11 p.m. Monday.
