Henrietta Fire District Chief Mark Strzyzynski is retiring from his position Friday, after 32 years of service as a firefighter.
He began serving as chief in 2017, but held various roles including Lieutenant, Captain, and Batallion Chief, among other roles, between the HFD and the Rochester Fire Department. Additionally, he served as a Paramedic for both Monroe and Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance.
In a release, the district called Strzyzynski a "tireless advocate" for the safety of the residents and visitors in Henrietta.
