VIDEO: Moyers Corners Fire Department members came together on Monday, April 15, to grieve one of its members.
The Moyers Corners Fire Department was left heartbroken after hearing that Michael Hoosock was shot and killed in the line of duty on Sunday, April 14. “He’d give you the shirt off his back. He was that type of guy,” said Mike Brown, Moyers Corners Fire Department Chief.
Hoosock was a Lieutenant for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and an active member of Moyers Corners before he died in a shooting Sunday evening on Darien Drive, in the Town of Salina.
“He was in the department almost 17 years, he got his paramedic, he joined the sheriff’s department when he was a member here. Like I said, I can’t say enough about him” said Brown.
