VIDEO: Egypt Fire Department responded to a large brushfire near an RG&E substation in Fairport Tuesday.
According to EFD, efforts to put out the fire were complicated due to high winds, power lines, marshland, and the close proximity of the fire to the substation.
Firefighters were able to take down the fire by starting at hot spots near the substation and along the trail.
RG&E says they are still working to determine the cause of the fire, and there was no impact to the substation or the customers.
