VIDEO: Jefferson Community College will host the 11th Annual Garrett W. Loomis Fire Safety Seminar titled “It’s Worth the Risk: Tactics Put Out Fires”.
T.G. Kolb and Robert Tennies, members of the Garrett W. Loomis Foundation Education Committee, appeared on 7 News at Noon on Wednesday to talk about it.
The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 13 at JCC’s Sturtz Theater. It’s open to first responders.
Delivering the keynote is Fire Chief Curt Isakson, who has 30 years of experience in the fire service, encompassing roles in career, volunteer, and combination departments across diverse settings—urban, suburban, rural, and county-wide.
The 2024 presentation will provide insights into understanding the factors that endanger firefighters, as well as a comprehensive overview of engine company operations.
