VIDEO: An Adams home is considered a total loss after an early morning fire in the village Saturday. The 2AM call was to 9 West Church Street. Crews quickly arrived with flames and smoke showing. According to departments on scene, it appears the fire began at the back of the house and worked its way up to the roof. “Actually reaching up there and grabbing this stuff and ripping it off, and they would pull these big hunks of metal off and then we’d have to get out of the way because we had to get in there with hose lines, it was just a long long drawn out stubborn task,” said Bob Simpson, Adams Fire Department Treasurer. The people living in the two story home got out safely and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. They say there were four people including a 7-year-old in the home.
