A 101-year-old woman was killed in an Aiken County house fire Wednesday night, according to officials.
Georgia Scott, who lived in the home alone, died from smoke inhalation according to Aiken County coroner Tim Carlton.
Officials say they responded to the fire on Fairview Avenue in Belvedere (North Augusta) around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. while the cause of the fire is unknown at this time, authorities say the Aiken County Sheriff's Office's arson Squad is investigating.
