Firefighters contain Easley brush fire after streets evacuated

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Easley officials said an area was evacuated Monday afternoon as crews work a brushwood fire. According to officials, dispatch received a call at around 11:35 a.m. in reference to the fire on Dunklin Street near Graham Street. Officials said about 20 homes along two streets closest to the fire were been evacuated and the power was also cut. Police confirm that the fire has been contained, and the people evacuated were allowed back into their homes around 6:00 p.m. Fire officials said the fire was extinguished after about seven hours of working to contain it. South Carolina Forestry was also called to the scene. Police said no homes nor structures have been damaged, and no injuries have been reported. Police said a suspect, 23-year-old Seth Brian Bolding, has been detained. Bolding is being held on a charge of third-degree arson.
