Fire officials are now uncertain about how long the chemical fire in Deer Park will last after initially saying Monday is could burn for about two days. The Harris County Fire Marshals Office said conditions changed overnight and they don't have a definitive time line. Two additional chemical tanks caught fire overnight at Intercontinental Terminals Co. in Deer Park after water pressure dropped when two fireboat pumps providing water to firefighters malfunctioned for about six hours, the company said. The fire, which had been contained to six storage tanks late Monday, had spread to eight by 2:30 a.m., the company said. Two of the tanks were empty, ITC said. The company did not specify the chemicals in the two additional tanks.
