VIDEO: Firefighters battled a fire that broke out at a Frisco home on Monday afternoon, sending plumes of smoke into the air.
The Frisco Fire Department says the fire broke out around 4:08 p.m. in the 6300 block of Memorial Drive and Chapel Creek Blvd, which is less than a mile east of the Dallas North Tollway. When firefighters arrived, the under-construction home was completely engulfed in flames, causing the fire to spread to the house next door. Crews said a fence also caught fire but was quickly extinguished.
The owner of the home adjacent to the one under construction was not there at the time of the fire; according to fire officials, the damage done to it left it a total loss.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation and was released at the scene, the department said.
