5 workers injured following partial structure collapse at Oak Grove Power Plant near Franklin

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office confirms 5 workers were injured in a partial collapse of a silo on Monday afternoon at the Oak Grove Power Plant near Franklin. According to radio traffic from the scene, there is a silo that has reportedly collapsed and “significant damage around the property.” Karen Box tells KBTX that one of the injured was transported to a hospital by a medical helicopter and the other four were taken by ambulance from the scene. The cause of the collapse has not been determined but authorities don’t believe there is any threat or issues to the general public. A spokesperson for Luminant, the company that manages the plant, confirmed a silo owned and operated by a third-party was damaged, but operations at Oak Grove weren’t interrupted.
