VIDEO: Crews have made significant ground fighting a fire that sparked after birds got into a power line, officials said Thursday morning. The South Rim Fire, which started Wednesday afternoon, is closing in on 100% containment after little growth overnight. It's believed to have scorched 357 acres, according to Tooele County Fire Warden Dan Walton. A witness told officials a bird in the power lines caused the fire. The fire was close to homes at one point, but no evacuations were ordered. Walton said there was no damage to any infrastructure in the area, and he said he hoped to release the majority of the crews assigned to the fire by the end of Thursday.
