VIDEO: An almost two-year-old boy fell out of the third floor of an apartment building Tuesday near 2200 South 1100 West, officials confirmed. The boy was conscious after the fall and transported to a McKay-Dee Hospital via ambulance, Weber Fire District officials told KSL TV. The child was conscious and active when authorities arrived on the scene, Weber County Sheriff Lt. Cortney Ryan said. Ryan said the toddler leaned against the screen and it popped out, causing him to fall about 19 feet to the ground into the window well below. The boy suffered no obvious injuries, Ryan said, but he will be held at the hospital for observation. According to Ryan, the boy fell while his mother had stepped away to the bathroom for a brief moment. Ryan said the fact the toddler had minor injuries was “amazing.”
