The Utah Dept. of Health reported 3,071 new cases of COVID-19 and _nine additional deaths Wednesday.
The rolling seven-day average of new cases per day is now at 3,161 and the percent of positive test in 24.1 percent.
There are currently 542 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.
The additional deaths bring Utah's total death toll due to the coronavirus to 740. The health department removed the death of a female, between 65-84, who was a Utah County resident, and long-term care facility resident.
