The Utah Department of Health reported 1,552 new COVID-19 cases in the state from over the weekend.
Those include 628 new cases on Friday, 514 cases on Saturday and 409 cases on Sunday. The health department also reported three weekend deaths and 13,063 more vaccinations administered.
The rolling seven-day daily average for positive cases in the state is now at 571.
The positive test rate per day for that time period calculated with the "people over people" method is now 13.7%. The positive test rate per day for that time period calculated with the "test over test" method is now 9.5%.
There are now 280 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Utah, including 121 in intensive care, state data shows.
