Car crash leaves one person dead, two injured in Salt Lake City

PHOTO: A fatal accident in Salt Lake City left one person dead and two others injured Thursday afternoon. The three car crash happened at 300 N. Redwood Road. Salt Lake City police say Redwood Road will be closed for a few hours between 300 N to 500 N. A white sedan was traveling Northbound on Redwood road when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed into a purple SUV, which then crashed into a white SUV. The driver of the white sedan was died of their injuries sustained during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers of the white SUV were taken to the local hospital but are expected to recover. One of the passengers of the white SUV was a child. The occupants of the purple SUV were not injured. The identities of the victims were not released. For now, police advise to avoid the area as crews investigate and clean up the crash.
