The Price City Fire Department took to social media to share an important PSA about the risks of frying a turkey for the holidays. Science plays a big role in dangers. "Frozen turkeys and oil do not mix," the Fire Department put it simply. In a video showing the dangers, fire crews used a full frozen turkey. Below the turkey was a pot of boiling oil. Firefighters lowered the completely frozen bird into the oil and the potential meal erupted into flames. The gesture has been shown several times in the past but continues to be a good reminder to those interested in frying up their main Thanksgiving dish. Frying a turkey is still very possible, but one must be careful how they choose to go about it.
