VIDEO/PHOTOS: Fire authorities on Wednesday detonated a cache of "ancient dynamite" that was found in a Holladay home - and residents in the immediate area were forced to evacuate overnight before the controlled explosion could be completed. Unified Fire Authority early Wednesday morning issued the emergency evacuation in Holladay as crews prepared to detonate a cache of explosives found in a home. Authorities discovered what they described as "a lot" of "ancient dynamite" on Tuesday afternoon. The immediate area was evacuated following the discovery, but UFA issued a second emergency alert at 12:30 a.m. "This is an immediate evacuation order for explosion mitigation efforts in the area," according to the alert.
