The Utah Department of Transportation on Tuesday morning responded to "structure emergency" on the shoulder of a bridge in Salt Lake City, according to UDOT's traffic site.
The incident was reported at approximately 8:30 a.m. at mile post 20 on northbound I-215 West, near the California Avenue exit.
Crews could be seen on the department's traffic cameras working along the bridge's right side, and multiple vehicles were parked along the bridge's shoulder, including what appeared to be UHP vehicles. The bridge was not closed, and traffic continued to cross throughout the work. UDOT stated that the crew of a train passing under the bridge had reported a small fire beneath the highway, prompting crews to investigate.
